Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
PasswordParrot is built on a simple promise: your passwords stay on your device. We collect nothing, store nothing, and send nothing.
What we collect
Your passwords — nothing. PasswordParrot generates passwords entirely inside your browser or device. No password, no personal data, no identifiers — nothing is ever transmitted to any server. We do count anonymous page visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, but this cannot identify you or anyone using the site.
How it works
All password generation happens locally using JavaScript running in your browser. The word lists, generation logic, and every password you see exist only on your screen for the duration of your session. When you close the tab or popup, they are gone.
Website (passwordparrot.com)
- No user accounts or login
- No cookies
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count anonymous page visits — no personal data, no cookies, and no way to identify you or your child
- No advertising
Chrome Extension
- Passwords are generated locally — nothing leaves your browser
- The extension requests
clipboardWritepermission — used solely to copy your password when you click Copy. No other permissions are requested. - No background scripts, no network requests, no data storage
Third-party services
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This is a standard CDN request and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No personal data is passed in these requests.
Children's privacy
PasswordParrot is designed to be used by children. Because we collect no data whatsoever, there is nothing to protect — we cannot and do not collect information from users of any age.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what data we collect (we don't plan to), we will update this page and the date above.
